You cannot just pop the hood and locate the fuel pump relay on the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. This is due to the fact that this relay is an integral part of the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) and is not intended to be serviced or repaired. This means that if your fuel pump relay is malfunctioning, you will need to replace the complete TIPM.
Your Town and Country’s TIPM is positioned under the hood, near the windshield, on the driver’s side. It is easy to locate because it is a black box with numerous wires attached. To remove it, you must disconnect the power cable, the ground cable, and the negative battery cable. Then, remove the TIPM by removing its bolts.
Once the TIPM has been removed, it can be replaced and the battery cables, ground cable, and power cable can be reconnected. Be sure to tightly tighten the bolts, and you’re finished. Then you can start your Town and Country and once again appreciate its dependable performance.
If you suffer problems with the fuel pump relay on your 2012 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, you must replace the complete TIPM to get your vehicle back on the road.
