Going southbound on Illinois’ I-57? Lucky you! There are two rest spots along the route that will provide a much-needed break. First is the Monee Welcome Center located at Mile 332. It is located on the southbound side of the highway and is also accessible from the northbound side. Restrooms, vending machines, and a picnic area are available, as one would expect at a rest stop.
The next rest station will be located at Mile 268. The Loda Rest Area is exclusive to southern travelers. Here you will discover the same amenities as the Monee Welcome Center, plus a few additional ones. There is a children’s playground, a walking track, and a pet exercise area. Therefore, take a rest, stretch your legs, and return to the road revitalized.
