dropped spindles in the front and Bell Tech springs in the
rear to lower the car about 2.5 to 3 inches. Prime custom
wheels and Firestone tires set to give it the appearance of
the original 66 car.
Engine -
The engine is a 3.4 liter V-6 from a 1993 Camaro.
And after the repaint of 2005!

The repaint was an
afterthought. During the trip to the 2004 Knott’s 25th
Anniversary Show, I had a minor altercation with an area of
the Utah highway system. This was featured in an article in
the October issue of Kit Car Builder. The rear body clip
became separated from the rest of the car in a most
distressing manner. After getting the car back to Illinois
and getting the insurance company involved, the car made the
trip to the body shop and new parts were ordered. While
waiting for the replacement parts, I chatted with the shop
owner and made arrangements to completely strip the car down
to bare fiberglas and start over, with a new paint color in
mind. Well, this also required me to replace the interior as
well. Can’t have that ratty old interior and a nice shiny
new paint job! I must say, Lakemoor Bodyworks did a
fantastic job on the painting and body work. I did have a
major hand in the body work. That was to save me some money
in this rework.
